Requirements

Must:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance - Bachelors degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field) - 8-12 years of professional experience in systems engineering, integration strategy, or capability development - Demonstrated experience in SATCOM, space systems, or mission operations domains - Proven ability to convert operational needs into structured, technically aligned, and strategically prioritized capability definitions - Outstanding communication, facilitation, and analytical abilities, with experience working across government, contractor, and operational teams - Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, SE&I, and space enterprise integration environments

Responsibilities

- Identify, refine, and document the needs of stakeholders and users; define capabilities and integration paths that align with enterprise SATCOM architecture and modernization efforts - Work collaboratively with operators, mission owners, and program sponsors to pinpoint operational gaps and shape requirements into actionable and impactful solutions - Ensure that proposed capabilities align with SSCs SATCOM enterprise architecture, data strategies, and digital modernization objectives - Facilitate discussions that evolve user-driven requests into user-centered, mission-focused solutions enhancing interoperability, efficiency, and resilience - Collaborate with SE&I, cyber, DevOps, and software teams to verify technical feasibility, traceability, and integration across space, ground, and network layers - Transform high-level capability objectives into actionable program deliverables suitable for Agile or incremental development cycles - Create and present SATCOM capability roadmaps, strategy briefs, and integration concepts to government and contractor leadership

We at SAIC are looking for a SATCOM Systems Integration Strategist to join our MSEIT contract team at Space Systems Command (SSC) in El Segundo, CA. In this role, youll be the vital link between users, stakeholders, architects, and software developers, facilitating the integration of next-generation satellite communications capabilities across the U.S. Space Force enterprise. Our team emphasizes user-centered design and mission effectiveness to enhance operational agility and strengthen cohesion across space and ground segments.
