Requirements
Must:
- Associates degree in related fields or High School Diploma/equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Military background may substitute for a degree.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance (not required at start), with SAIC sponsoring the clearance process.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
- Basic understanding of networking equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Some familiarity with IP addressing, VLANs, DHCP/DNS, and troubleshooting connectivity using CLI or management software.
- Experience in configuring virtual machines (VMs) and customizing virtual hardware and networks.
- Competent in reading and interpreting technical manuals for operational testing.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and wiring diagrams for system integration and assembly.
- Strong collaborative skills and teamwork attributes.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time for ECP updates and training events at Air Force bases, both domestically and internationally.
- Valid U.S. passport required.
Responsibilities
- Assemble components using hand tools and power tools according to engineering specifications.
- Utilize test equipment to evaluate power, Ethernet, and RF cables.
- Construct and operate tactical communication systems.
- Lead small teams, delegate tasks, review work, and document completed activities for reporting to the program manager.
- Conduct integration of system components, make necessary modifications, and test system performance.
- Develop and implement processes to enhance the effectiveness and productivity of projects.
- Generate procedures based on technical manuals for functional testing of line replaceable units (LRUs) and assign condition codes accordingly.
