Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related technical discipline, with nine years of experience in systems integration and systems engineering, or a Masters degree with seven years of experience
- Proficiency with collaboration and analysis tools like Microsoft SharePoint, Excel, Access, and Project
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including the ability to generate, analyze, and maintain digital models
- Experience with projects involving updates to ground-based systems, such as RF systems, communication systems, telemetry, or system virtualization
- Preferred: Master of Science in engineering, science, or a relevant technical field
- Preferred: Experience in large-scale government systems acquisition
- Preferred: Strong understanding of space systems design, integration, testing requirements, and test execution
Responsibilities
- Provide system-level engineering support and guidance to a multidisciplinary team
- Develop preliminary solutions to moderate-complexity engineering problems in an expedient manner
- Identify and implement current and emerging Digital Engineering practices and tools to tackle critical challenges for sponsors and partners
- Utilize knowledge of agile acquisition, architecture design, system integration, and risk assessment/management to enhance problem-solving strategies
- Employ rapid prototyping and offer technical recommendations to assist in defining capability requirements
- Collaborate with platform partners to promote effective Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Digital Engineering (DE) practices across the organization
- Author and maintain essential technical documentation, such as Requirements Specifications, Concepts of Operation, and Qualification Test Plans
- Develop and document engineering processes and standards to meet client requirements
