Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree plus nine years of relevant experience, or a Masters degree plus seven years of experience, or equivalent experience in place of a degree
- Proven expertise or subject matter expert status in DoD wide parametric data
- Proficiency in data access using SQL and Python
- Familiarity with commercial parametric data sources
- Background in utilizing military parametric data in synthetic environments
- Ability to educate others on parametric data usage
- Skills in building ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) pipelines for self-service data capabilities
- Knowledge of data interoperability, ensuring integration of various siloed data systems
- Experience with semantic modeling and ontology for future graph database implementations
- Comprehensive understanding of metadata and its role in a data catalog
- Capability to develop reliable, authoritative datasets for diverse applications
- Understanding of deploying air-gapped data systems
- Strong grasp of data fabric and data mesh design principles
- Broad knowledge of both legacy and current data systems
- Active Secret Security Clearance
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance of parametric datasets with Department of the Air Force Data Fabric initiatives and related strategies
- Provide parametric data services for Air Force Training Simulation Centers
- Maximize the use of commercial technology by aligning work with existing DAF Data Fabric initiatives, utilizing leading big data platforms
- Test data services for community access to parametric data, addressing an agreed upon Source of Truth (ASoT) Dataset
- Make data visible, accessible, usable, linked, trusted, interoperable, and secure for AF Training Simulation Centers
- Support tactical data training initiatives to meet integrated training requirements
- Assist government training data efforts at the tactical level
- Facilitate joint and coalition interoperability data efforts to enhance training capabilities
