Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related field with 9+ years of experience in:
- Systems engineering and architecting for major systems acquisitions.
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and descriptive modeling systems like SysML.
- Proficiency with Cameo Systems Architect or Sparx Enterprise Architect.
- Familiarity with DoDAF views on system of systems architectures and plans.
- In-scope security background investigation (T5), adjudicated for SCI eligibility, and enrollment in the Continuous Evaluation program (if applicable).
- Willingness to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information and/or Special Access Programs and consent to a Polygraph examination.
Responsibilities
- Offer leadership guidance on mission engineering strategies for Systems of Systems (SoS) architectures and articulate strategic messaging to key operational and governmental stakeholders.
- Support systems engineering and mission architecting initiatives.
- Generate, review, and ensure compliance with technical requirements; perform technical reviews and risk assessments on space systems.
- Identify critical activities and functions for mission thread development, modeling the current and desired functional and physical architectures.
- Provide program and technical insights to the modeling and analysis team about system architecture designs, interfaces, schedules, and underlying assumptions.
- Promote the integration and utilization of Digital Engineering practices related to Model-Based Systems Engineering and Modeling, Simulation, & Analysis, including transitioning legacy Systems Engineering content into digital formats.

In this role, youll provide essential systems engineering, mission architecting, and analytical support for the Space Systems Command within the Space Combat Power and Battle Management sectors. Our team supervises the planning, development, testing, deployment, integration, and sustainment of a portfolio comprising Space Control capabilities, particularly counter space operations like Orbital and Spectrum Warfare.
