Requirements

Must:
- Secret clearance or higher - Bachelors Degree in IT, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience - A minimum of fourteen (14) years in IT, with at least five (5) years in System Engineering or Administration - Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration, network setup, and scripting abilities - Familiar with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and automation tools like Ansible - Effective problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills for collaborating with IT groups - Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or KVM, along with Linux-Active Directory integration - Desirable: Experience in System Engineering or Administration within government agencies - Desirable: Proficient in command-line operations, file systems, and system hardening for RHEL or Ubuntu - Desirable: Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and hypervisors like VMware or Hyper-V - Desirable: Ability to automate tasks using Bash, Python, or Perl and tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef - Desirable: Understanding of networking protocols, security measures, and infrastructure monitoring - Desirable: Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes - Desirable: Capability to maintain secure and scalable enterprise environments that align with organizational goals

Responsibilities

- Deploy, configure, and manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments across multiple servers and cloud platforms - Troubleshoot and address service interruptions, providing on-call support as needed - Perform daily tasks including patch management using Satellite Server, performance tuning, and system issue troubleshooting - Develop automation scripts using tools like Ansible to streamline processes - Work collaboratively with development, DevOps, and security teams to design and enhance infrastructure solutions - Contribute to projects involving system cloning, migrations, security protocol implementation, documentation, and automation initiatives for improved IT operations
