Requirements
Must:
- Active TS/SCI clearance or eligible to obtain one.
- Bachelors degree or higher in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 14 years of relevant experience; 12 years with a Masters or 9 years with a PhD or JD.
- At least 10 years of practical systems engineering experience, with 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven experience in designing, integrating, and delivering sophisticated systems for classified/national security projects.
- Familiarity with the entire systems development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design, and testing validation.
- Strong expertise in system architectures, modeling techniques, and system of systems integration.
- Demonstrated capability to collaborate with senior leadership and government stakeholders in classified environments.
- Proficient in engineering tools, frameworks, and modeling languages (e.g., DOORS, Cameo, MATLAB, SysML).
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity principles and compliance with security accreditation processes (e.g., RMF).
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools, such as JIRA.
Responsibilities
- Act as the LSI technical lead for system design, integration, and testing phases, ensuring congruence with operational and mission objectives.
- Guide and mentor cross-disciplinary engineering teams to achieve high-quality, scalable systems solutions.
- Manage the complete systems engineering lifecycle, encompassing requirements analysis, system design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
- Conduct trade studies, risk evaluations, and modeling for informed decision-making and to determine the best engineering strategies.
- Collaborate with the customers Chief Engineer and Program Manager, as well as stakeholders and government clients, to set project goals and ensure alignment with mission objectives.
- Ensure adherence to prescribed engineering processes, technical standards, and security protocols.
- Create and present technical documentation, including design artifacts, interface control documents, and testing plans.
- Serve as the main technical liaison for government clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Oversee system performance expectations and guarantee that all solutions delivered fulfill or surpass operational requirements.
- Identify and mitigate program risks while developing creative solutions to tackle engineering challenges.
