Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree with at least 4 years of experience - Active DoD Secret clearance - ITIL Foundations v4 certification - ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist in Hardware Asset Management (to be obtained within 120 days) - Proficient in query-based reporting tools - Excellent verbal and written English communication skills - Highly organized and detail-oriented - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - Proficient in MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel - Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks in a fast-paced setting - Effective communication of IT, networking, and security concepts to all levels of staff - Familiarity with basic project management principles, tools, and phases - Technical writing and documentation proficiency - Hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform, especially HAM and SAM modules - 3-5 years of experience in IT asset management, with a concentration on hardware assets, particularly working with or for governmental clients

Responsibilities

- Oversee and track IT procurement processes from inception to completion, including market research and vendor coordination - Assist in refining requirements and supporting procurement for USTRANSCOM Service Portfolio, covering end-user devices and peripheral equipment - Develop and provide annual updates on procurement management procedures (TTPs) - Utilize DPAS (Defense Property Accountability System) to track hardware life cycles - Ensure that equipment and software on USTC networks are licensed, obtaining necessary permissions when required - Serve as the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) for any unlicensed items - Manage and track licenses for systems and software across network and production environments - Notify the Section Manager and USTC TPOC of upcoming expirations for maintenance, warranties, or licenses within specified time frames - Facilitate the delivery of licenses for installation before they expire - Monitor all endpoint devices and assets for inventory management, documenting usage, location, configuration, responsible individuals, and status - Execute lifecycle management tasks, including reporting, vendor coordination, inventory control, and hardware asset disposal - Provide warehouse support as necessary, including the completion of Service Requests and asset deployment - Generate weekly activity reports - Maintain accurate hardware and software asset records within the ServiceNow platform - Perform daily updates in the ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management and Software Asset Management modules - Configure and maintain the ServiceNow HAM module, including asset models and lifecycle states - Support asset discovery and reconciliation processes to resolve discrepancies - Conduct physical and virtual inventories to verify asset data accuracy - Create and maintain reports and dashboards for asset inventory and compliance insights - Offer guidance and training to end-users regarding asset management best practices
