Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline.
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Experience with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and familiarity with the NIPRNet environment using VPN.
- Proven skills in providing first-line IT support, including troubleshooting hardware and software (especially Microsoft 365) as well as user account access issues such as disabled accounts and VPN connectivity.
- Experience in managing and troubleshooting local area networks, including monitoring commercial internet service and supporting related infrastructure like routers, switches, and access points.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Active SECRET clearance necessary; must be able to acquire and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
- Knowledge of government IT security best practices, including RMF and NIST frameworks where applicable.
- Proficiency in creating SOPs, training materials, and technical documentation.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide initial technical support for end-user IT issues, diagnosing and resolving problems with hardware (laptops, printers, docking stations, mobile devices), software (Microsoft 365), user accounts (disabled accounts, first-time login), and network connectivity (VPN, commercial internet).
- Ensure the offices commercial internet connection is functioning effectively.
- Monitor and report printer issues to relevant office stakeholders and IT support teams.
- Log and track all IT requests from the organization, submitting them to the appropriate support agency.
- Assist users with basic software issues and challenges related to user account access.
- Maintain a detailed record of all service requests, their resolutions, and monitor all government-issued software licenses.
- Manage the dedicated on-site server room or network closet environment.
- Ensure compliance with IT security management protocols.
- Support the OSC customer with tracking and executing IT projects as needed.
