Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree with a minimum of nine (9) years of experience; or a Masters degree with at least seven (7) years of experience; or a PhD or JD with four (4) years of experience.
- Proven expertise in hypersonics and advanced materials utilized in defense applications.
- Experience at the OSW Staff level.
- Over nine (9) years of experience within the Department of War (DoW).
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Highly skilled in relationship management and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate concepts and requirements for the utilization of current and emerging technologies pertinent to the DoDs Research and Engineering program.
- Attend and contribute to meetings involving the Hypersonics and Advanced Materials Principal Directors and their teams.
- Perform technology research analysis aimed at future warfare frameworks involving these technologies.
- Offer programmatic expertise to the Government from the initial system concept phase through technology transfer initiatives.
- Identify existing gaps in technology development and implementation concerning DoD capabilities and provide insights.
- Represent USW R&E in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and engage in Government-sanctioned conferences and forums, contributing to specific USD R&E projects.
- Conduct assessments of the industrial base associated with specific technological areas, recognizing risks, challenges, and opportunities.
- Act as a mediator between organizations, subject matter experts, and the innovation sector to unveil risks and opportunities, facilitating the establishment of risk mitigation strategies and promoting technological advancement.
