Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a science or technology field; 4 additional years of experience may substitute for the degree
- Over 8 years of professional experience in a related role
- At least 5 years of experience working in Linux environments that support distributed computing or HPC clusters
- Active Top Secret clearance is mandatory; must obtain TS/SCI clearance prior to starting
- Must be available for 100% onsite work in Charlottesville, VA
- Proven experience executing or troubleshooting tasks using HPC workload schedulers like Slurm, PBS, or Torque
- Proficiency with command-line Linux environments
- Familiarity with scripting or automation tools such as Bash or Python
- Ability to achieve required DoD 8140 (8570) IAT Level II certification
- Direct experience with HPC or distributed compute workloads is essential
Responsibilities
- Provide support for users executing computational workloads within HPC cluster environments
- Assist with the execution of distributed compute workloads
- Troubleshoot job execution problems and resolve issues effectively
- Aid users in creating and managing scheduler job submission scripts
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in workload execution
- Support GPU-enabled workloads and ensure optimal utilization of resources
- Promote best practices for cluster usage and HPC efficiency
