Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field or zero (0) years of experience; an additional four (4) years of experience may substitute for a degree
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance
- Proficient in C/C++ programming languages for embedded applications
- Strong collaborative skills and excellent communication abilities
- Experience with ARM Cortex-M family of microcontrollers (preferred)
- Familiarity with IAR Embedded Workbench for ARM or similar IDEs (preferred)
- Understanding of Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) architectures (preferred)
- Proficient in using lab equipment, like digital multimeters and oscilloscopes (preferred)
- Knowledge of Agile development processes and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) methodologies (preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and datasheets (preferred)
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-1553 or similar military communication protocols (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of VHDL and FPGA design (preferred)
- Active security clearance at Secret level or above (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to government programs as an embedded software engineer throughout the program lifecycle
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug software applications for embedded military systems, focusing on low-level control processing
- Develop embedded software for real-time and near real-time operating systems and processors
- Produce supporting documentation and conduct peer reviews, ensuring adherence to software standards
- Read schematics of intricate electronic assemblies as needed
- Develop test software applications as required
- Engage in multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers for effective planning and development of electronic data processing systems
- Communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary design team
