Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical, aerospace, safety engineering, or related field
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities
- Capability to collaborate effectively across various organizations and stakeholders
- Proficient in working independently with minimal oversight while meeting tight deadlines
- Skill in visualizing, articulating, and simplifying complex issues for clear presentations
- Experience in producing high-quality technical reports and delivering technical presentations to senior management and clients
- Basic knowledge of personal computers and standard business software
Responsibilities
- Serve as the key connection between EHP systems (suits, tools, payloads, etc.) and HLS landers, LTV, Pressurized Rover, and Orion
- Participate in Systems Requirement Review, Preliminary, and Critical Design Reviews for EHP systems hardware, providing engineering evaluations against safety requirements
- Examine Safety Data Packages and design reviews; monitor safety impacts throughout EHP processes and program control boards
- Conduct hazard analysis and risk management for EVA at an integrated level
- Assist with Verification Event Reviews, EHP RWG (V&V), and testing campaigns to ensure EHP safety compliance
- Manage variance tracking across programs, evaluate EHP safety impacts, and report findings to ESMACB
- Facilitate the transition from integration to real-time EHP safety support in MER, covering procedures, timelines, and mission risk posture
