Requirements
Must:
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance is necessary for this role.
- Bachelors degree in a technical field such as engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science. A similar advanced technical degree is also acceptable.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in System Engineering Architecture/Design.
- Two or more years of experience in Information Assurance (IA) or Cyber Security.
- Experience providing cybersecurity insights for the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) and coordinating Cybersecurity Test and Evaluation (T&E) tasks with stakeholders.
- Experience leading Mission Based Cybersecurity Risk Assessments (MBCRA) events and delivering Mission Impact Analysis and suggestions to the program office.
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles throughout various lifecycle phases.
- Familiarity with contemporary computing architectures, including CI/CD, microservices, cloud, and container technologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and team-building abilities.
- Strong writing and oral communication skills, with the capacity to produce polished technical documents.
- Background in software design.
Responsibilities
- Conduct systems engineering tasks focusing on cybersecurity, Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment & Authorization (A&A) per DoDI guidelines.
- Execute cryptographic System Security Engineering (SSE) in compliance with NSA standards and regulations.
- Establish security requirements, architecture, and design for both embedded and large-scale distributed DoD space and ground control systems.
- Implement risk management strategies to address system security architecture vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with Space Force customers, system stakeholders, and external contractors to align cybersecurity and cryptographic requirements across system elements.
- Assist in the integration of cybersecurity measures for space and ground networks.
- Contribute to the verification and validation of cybersecurity requirements by providing proposals.
- Execute cybersecurity planning and scheduling for RMF and coordinate to classify systems per confidentiality, integrity, and availability guidelines in CNSSI 1253.
- Offer essential inputs for the Program Protection Plan and aid in recognizing Critical Program Information (CPI) and Critical Components (CC).
- Support the development of Cybersecurity Strategies and assist the government in milestone approvals.

This position requires on-site work in a secure facility due to security protocols.
