Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree with two years of relevant experience; alternatively, four years of professional experience without a degree
- Proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows Operating Systems
- Knowledge of cybersecurity assessment tools such as ACAS, Nessus, SCC, and STIG Viewer
- Understanding of both physical and virtual networking environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing situations
- Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Openness to periodic travel within the continental United States (1-2 times per year)
- Active Interim Secret Clearance, with the capability to obtain a Secret Clearance
- Security+ CE, CySA+, or a higher DoD 8140 certification
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Cybersecurity Engineering team to provide expert technical guidance to Systems Engineers, Integrators, and Software Engineers for successful project outcomes
- Conduct assessments of systems and software requirements to ensure compliance
- Partner with various functional teams to implement and oversee technical security measures, including STIGs, SRGs, and other industry standards
- Validate that technical security measures are effectively implemented across operating systems, applications, and network devices, and suggest improvements as needed
- Analyze the results of static code analysis scans, documenting outcomes and recommendations
- Execute and interpret Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans to identify vulnerabilities and develop plans for remediation
- Aid in the updating of system documentation to support Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements, including system architecture diagrams and configuration inventories
- Keep abreast of information system functions, security policies, technical safeguards, and operational security standards
- Stay informed on current technology trends and potential security threats
- Work alongside contractors and team members to continually enhance value for our clients
- Review and validate system specifications and relevant design documentation
