Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, physics, or a related field
- 14+ years of relevant experience, including 4 years in space communications
- Familiarity with US government program management and acquisition lifecycle
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Masters degree in engineering, physics, or a related discipline (preferred)
- 1 year of experience with USG R&D acquisition lifecycle (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Perform technical reviews and evaluations of space communication technology development
- Assess studies and hardware/firmware/software development at various levels
- Engage in electronics, antennas, waveform development, and space data architectures
- Identify technology gaps and create technology development and transition plans
- Define requirements and specifications for new communications technology
- Conduct outreach with prospective users of communications technology
- Prepare documents and presentations on program progress and strategic direction
- Assist with programmatic evaluations, acquisitions, and source selection activities
