Requirements
Must:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
- Bachelors degree with 14+ years of experience; Masters with 12+ years; PhD or JD with 9+ years
- Proven experience in independently designing and developing cloud-based applications using contemporary best practices
- Background in software engineering, application development, or web application deployment
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming with modern languages such as Java, Go, or C#
- Front-end development experience with frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue
- Familiarity with Linux environments
- Competence in deploying solutions on commercial cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with containerized applications utilizing Kubernetes
- Knowledge of orchestration and infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Helm
- Understanding of networking and VPN technologies, including OpenVPN, WireGuard, and IPSec
- Skills in managing user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations
- Experience with software and hardware upgrades, patching, and reconfiguration
- Proven track record in troubleshooting complex hardware and software problems
- Experience in implementing data protection, backup, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
- Strong communication skills to articulate issues and resolutions clearly
- Associate or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent professional experience
Responsibilities
- Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including scope definition, work estimation, design, documentation, implementation, testing, integration, and sustainment
- Design and develop new applications aligned with mission requirements
- Provide ongoing operations and maintenance support for various mission tools
- Contribute to architectural decisions and devise solutions for complex design issues
- Collaborate on developing modern front-end applications using current frameworks
- Create, deploy, and maintain containerized applications in cloud settings
- Manage virtual and physical servers in VMware environments
- Oversee Windows Server (2008-2016) and Linux operating systems, including Ubuntu, CentOS, and Rocky
- Implement and maintain infrastructure security following industry best practices
- Monitor systems proactively to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software complications
- Execute system upgrades, patching, reconfiguration, and hardening procedures
- Manage physical server configurations, including layout, cabling, labeling, documentation, and KVM setups
- Conduct backup operations and support recovery and failover processes
- Review system and application logs to ensure integrity and security
- Address help desk and JIRA requests and communicate solutions to stakeholders at all organizational levels
