Requirements
Must:
- Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph is mandatory for commencement and must be maintained.
- Bachelors degree in a STEM field (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) with at least nine (9) years of experience; or a Masters degree in a STEM field with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience.
- Highly motivated and innovative Acquisition Engineer proficient in the acquisition process, contract management, and budget planning.
- Familiarity with government acquisition manuals (NAM, FAR).
- Expert knowledge in SIGINT space and ground architecture.
- Understanding of systems engineering and development processes.
- Strong skills in data analysis and visualization.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities; proven track record of coordinating across all levels of government to ensure successful contract delivery.
- Must be a self-driven individual, capable of independently addressing customer needs and formulating solutions for complex issues.
- Knowledgeable in various systems development methodologies such as Agile, DevSecOps, Spiral, and Waterfall.
- Experience with tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Extensive expertise in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- (Desired) Familiarity with Digital Engineering/Model Based Systems Engineering.
- (Desired) Understanding of AI applications.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Government Program Manager in formulating acquisition documents, including Market Research Reports, Statements of Work (SOW), Acquisition Strategy Council (ASC) briefings, and Justifications and Approvals (J&As).
- Provide expert insight and technical evaluation during proposal assessments for source selections, ensuring alignment with stringent technical performance criteria.
- Oversee technical activities under NRO operational contracts to verify adherence to requirements and performance metrics.
- Guarantee operational readiness for new satellite missions, including the delivery of ground systems and completion of systems testing and operational drills.
- Offer recommendations on the technical feasibility of planned actions, involving thorough evaluations of cost, schedule, performance, and risk management strategies.
- Act as a primary contact among government officials, prime contractors, and mission partners to synchronize technical activities and resolve scheduling conflicts.
