Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in business management or a related field, along with 14+ years of experience in government weapon systems acquisitions and program management, or contracts management within the Department of Defense.
- Familiarity with the Department of Defense Major Capability Acquisition System process.
- Knowledge of the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System process.
- Experience with the Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution process.
- Must possess a security clearance background investigation (T5 or SSBI), adjudicated for SCI eligibility, and enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program (if applicable).
- Willingness to apply for access to Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Programs, including consent to a Polygraph examination.
Responsibilities
- Offer guidance to Program/Project Managers on acquisition strategies, timelines, contracting, budgeting, and overall execution.
- Create regular status reports, facilitate periodic staff meetings, and conduct technical interchange meetings while formulating acquisition plans and executive program briefings.
- Draft and coordinate comprehensive program planning and execution documents in line with DoDI 5000.02 / Acquisition Framework and pertinent DoD, AF, and local unit policies focused on rapid prototyping.
- Provide technical and programmatic evaluations of contractor design and milestone reviews, assessing progress, risks, issues, and the likelihood of meeting mission requirements.
- Oversee program element coordination and staffing while advising the government client on funding commitments, obligations, expenditures, and supporting the creation of program funding documentation and monthly financial reports.
