Requirements
Must:
- Azure cloud architecture and platform design
- Expertise in Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)
- Design and implementation of enterprise landing zones
- Proficiency in Azure VMs, App Services, and Storage
- Experience with Azure SQL
- Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (Azure AD, RBAC, Managed Identities)
- Understanding of security and compliance frameworks (Azure AD, RBAC)
- Familiarity with Managed Identity infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform or similar)
- Skills in monitoring and logging (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics)
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency in networking design and hybrid/cloud connectivity
- Familiarity with governance frameworks and policy enforcement
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of an enterprise-scale Azure cloud platform in adherence to Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) standards
- Provide architectural guidance across cloud domains including landing zone architecture, governance, security, networking, and DevOps
- Oversee the establishment of Azure infrastructure such as VMs, App Services, Storage, and SQL databases
- Set up identity and access management utilizing Azure AD and RBAC
- Enforce security and compliance protocols through relevant policies and encryption techniques
- Implement monitoring and optimization strategies for cloud resources
- Ensure alignment with judicial compliance regulations
- Facilitate transitions to commercial Azure or cloud-agnostic solutions
- Promote DevOps adoption, infrastructure-as-code practices, and automation strategies
- Deliver comprehensive documentation, knowledge transfer, and ongoing architectural support
Description
We are seeking an Azure Cloud Enterprise Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of a large-scale Azure cloud platform for Maricopa Countys Judicial Branch. This strategic role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful cloud adoption and compliance with judicial standards. Our ideal candidate will bring over a decade of enterprise architecture experience, particularly in cloud solutions, and will thrive in fostering a modern, secure, and automated cloud environment. This position requires in-office work at least three days per week and offers the chance to make a real impact on the future of our cloud infrastructure.
