Requirements
Must:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in registration, scheduling, or prior authorization
- Proven expertise in Medical Terminology
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service capabilities
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Basic computer skills knowledge
Responsibilities
- Assist with various Pre-Access functions in compliance with RRHS policies
- Manage the referral and prior authorization processes
- Schedule patients for both elective and urgent appointments
- Pre-register patients by gathering their demographic and insurance information for outpatient and inpatient services
- Inform patients about important visit details, including preparation instructions and check-in times
- Prioritize patient needs and ensure the efficient use of hospital resources
- Optimize insurance benefits for both patients and the organization
