Senior Software QA Analyst - Shelbyville

- Design, implement, and uphold thorough test plans, scripts, and test cases for various testing cycles - Maintain a comprehensive database of regression tests for assigned applications, including automation scenario definitions - Analyze defects to identify patterns and areas for improvement in test cycles - Discover opportunities for automation within processes - Oversee and drive automation script execution throughout the QA processes - Execute both manual and automated test cases, interpret outcomes, and provide feedback to the development team via clear documentation of defects - Take part in deployment and validate post-production processes - Collaborate with internal and external teams to specify requirements and acceptance standards - Lead initiatives for continuous enhancement of testing methodologies and technologies - Guide and mentor junior QA team members, offering training and support - Coordinate with external development and testing teams - Partner with end users to conduct User Acceptance Testing - Manage Rural King application QA/Dev environments, including code version control and data management - Offer guidance and assistance to end users regarding application software - Develop functional documents, such as user training instructions - Provide both functional and technical support to internal stakeholders - Assist in training end users on software applications - Offer technical solutions during the design, development, and testing phases of applications - Engage in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - Evaluate and review enhancements to ensure compatibility and compliance with operational standards - Prepare and deliver status reports to internal stakeholders - Collaborate with teams to establish test cases, identify, document, and resolve issues - Provide on-call support as required by the manager - May be expected to cross-train and perform additional duties as needed - Operate general office equipment and frequently use a keyboard for data entry - Maintain seating, standing, or walking positions for extended periods - Communicate effectively with others, both in person and electronically
