Senior Software QA Analyst - Kansas

- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans, scripts, and cases for various testing phases including functional and end-to-end testing - Manage a repository of regression tests for assigned application stacks, defining automation scenarios - Analyze defect trends and identify opportunities to enhance testing cycles - Explore and recommend areas for automation within processes - Execute automated scripts at every level of the QA workflow - Perform both manual and automated test case execution, interpreting results and conveying feedback to development teams through clearly documented defects - Participate in deployment procedures and validate post-production outcomes - Collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria - Drive continuous enhancement of testing methodologies and technologies - Mentor junior QA team members, providing training and support - Coordinate efforts with external development and testing groups - Collaborate with end users for User Acceptance Testing execution - Oversee the management of Rural Kings QA/Dev environments, including code versions and data - Offer guidance and support for end-user application software - Produce functional documentation like training guides for users - Provide both functional and technical support to internal clientele - Assist in training end users on software applications - Provide technical insight during the design, development, and testing phases of applications - Engage in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - Review and analyze enhancements for compatibility, ensuring adherence to operational guidelines - Prepare and present status updates to internal stakeholders - Work collaboratively with internal teams to formulate test cases, document issues, and resolve them - Offer on-call support as assigned by the manager - Potentially cross-train and undertake additional responsibilities - Utilize standard office equipment as needed - Frequently operate a keyboard for data entry - Maintain a seated/standing position for extended periods - Effectively communicate verbally with colleagues (in-person and through electronic means)
