IT business analyst - functional

- Serve as a vital link between the Finance organization, IT, and external partners to enhance, support, and optimize business processes and technology solutions. - Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, and Accounts Payable teams to document processes, identify challenges, and suggest improvements. - Act as the main contact for Finance stakeholders, IT teams, and Oracle AMS or implementation partners for Oracle Fusion initiatives. - Analyze business requirements and create detailed functional specifications for Oracle Fusion modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, and Fixed Assets. - Participate in comprehensive testing phases such as system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing. - Monitor system performance, data integrity, and compliance across financial applications. - Lead discovery sessions, requirements workshops, and functional design discussions with team members and vendors. - Support configuration changes, testing, and deployment of new features or enhancements within Oracle Fusion Cloud and related systems. - Collaborate with developers to validate designs, troubleshoot issues, and conduct root cause analysis for recurring system errors. - Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring alignment with accounting standards and schedules. - Create and maintain documentation, functional process flows, and user training materials. - Provide training and support to end-users to ensure adherence to standardized business processes. - Help enforce IT governance, data standards, and security protocols across Finance applications. - Prepare system evaluations, issue summaries, and updates for leadership review. - Coordinate closely with AP, GL, and Finance teams to ensure accuracy and timely processing of transactional data. - Engage with vendors, auditors, and business partners to support integrations and meet audit requirements. - Work alongside other IT application teams to ensure smooth data flow across modules and platforms.
