IT Business Analyst - Functional - Urbana

- Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, and AP teams to document business processes, pinpoint issues, and propose system and process enhancements - Act as the primary point of contact between Finance stakeholders, IT divisions, and Oracle AMS or implementation partners for Oracle Fusion-related projects - Analyze and convert business requirements into detailed functional specifications for Oracle Fusion modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Cash Management, and Fixed Assets - Engage in comprehensive testing, encompassing system integration, regression, and user acceptance tests - Monitor and assess ongoing system performance, data integrity, and compliance across financial applications - Conduct discovery sessions, requirements workshops, and functional design discussions with internal teams and vendors - Assist in configuration changes, testing, and deployment of new features, integrations, or enhancements within Oracle Fusion Cloud and related systems - Work with developers and solution architects to validate designs, resolve issues, and perform root cause analysis for recurring system errors - Aid in month-end and year-end financial closing processes, ensuring system operations align with accounting principles and timelines - Create and maintain system documentation, functional process flows, and user training materials - Provide end-user training and support to facilitate adoption and conformity with standardized business processes - Assist in enforcing IT governance, data standards, and security policies across Finance applications - Compile system health reports, issue summaries, and executive updates for leadership review - Coordinate closely with AP, GL, and Finance teams to guarantee transactional data accuracy and timely processing - Work with vendors, auditors, and business partners to support integrations, controls, and audit requirements - Collaborate with other IT application teams (Retail, HRIS, WMS) to ensure smooth data flow across modules and platforms
