IT Business Analyst - Functional - Hammond

- Act as a key liaison between Accounting, Finance, and AP teams to document business processes, pinpoint challenges, and propose enhancements - Serve as the primary contact between Finance stakeholders, IT teams, and Oracle AMS or implementation partners for initiatives related to Oracle Fusion - Analyze and translate business needs into detailed functional specifications for Oracle Fusion modules like GL, AP, Cash Management, and Fixed Assets - Participate in comprehensive testing phases including system integration and user acceptance testing - Monitor ongoing system performance, data integrity, and compliance in financial applications - Lead discovery sessions, requirements workshops, and functional design reviews with team members and external vendors - Assist with configuration changes, testing, and deploying new features or enhancements in Oracle Fusion Cloud and connected systems - Collaborate with developers and solution architects to validate designs, resolve problems, and address root causes of recurring errors - Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes to ensure alignment with accounting principles and deadlines - Develop and maintain system documentation, functional process flows, and user training materials - Provide end-user training and support to guarantee adherence and compliance with standardized business processes - Assist in enforcing IT governance, data standards, and security policies within Finance applications - Prepare system health reports, issue summaries, and updates for management review - Work closely with AP, GL, and Finance teams to ensure accuracy of transactional data and timely processing - Collaborate with vendors, auditors, and business partners for integration support, controls, and audit requirements - Engage with other IT application teams to ensure cohesive cross-module and cross-platform data flow
