IT Business Analyst - Functional - Findlay

- Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, and AP teams to document business processes, identify challenges, and propose system and process enhancements - Act as the main liaison between Finance stakeholders, IT teams, and Oracle AMS or implementation partners for Oracle Fusion-related projects - Analyze and convert business needs into detailed functional specifications for Oracle Fusion modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Cash Management, and Fixed Assets - Participate in comprehensive testing phases such as system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing - Monitor ongoing system performance, data accuracy, and compliance within financial applications - Conduct discovery sessions, requirements workshops, and functional design discussions with internal teams and external vendors - Support configuration changes, testing, and deployment of new features or enhancements in Oracle Fusion Cloud and integrated systems - Collaborate with developers and solution architects to validate designs and troubleshoot recurring problems - Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes, ensuring alignment with accounting principles and timelines - Create and maintain system documentation, process flows, and user training guides - Provide end-user training and support to promote adherence to standardized business processes - Enforce IT governance, data standards, and security protocols across Finance applications - Prepare system health reports and executive updates for leadership review - Coordinate with AP, GL, and Finance teams to ensure accuracy in transactional data and timely processing - Work alongside vendors, auditors, and business partners to ensure integration compliance and audit requirements are met - Collaborate with other IT application teams (Retail, HRIS, WMS) for efficient data flow across modules and platforms
