IT Business Analyst - Functional - Effingham

- Act as a primary liaison between Finance teams, IT departments, and Oracle implementation partners for Oracle Fusion projects. - Document business processes, identify issues, and suggest improvements in collaboration with Accounting, Finance, and AP teams. - Transform business needs into detailed functional specifications for Oracle Fusion modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, and Fixed Assets. - Engage in end-to-end testing, covering system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing. - Monitor system performance, data integrity, and compliance within financial applications. - Lead discovery sessions, requirements workshops, and functional design discussions with internal teams and vendors. - Support changes, testing, and rollouts of new features, integrations, or enhancements in Oracle Fusion Cloud and related systems. - Work with developers and solution architects to validate designs, troubleshoot issues, and conduct root cause analyses for recurring errors. - Aid in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring alignment of system processes with accounting principles and deadlines. - Create and maintain system documentation, functional process diagrams, and user training resources. - Provide end-user training and support to ensure adherence to standardized business processes. - Enforce IT governance, data standards, and security policies across Finance applications. - Prepare system health reports, issue summaries, and executive updates for leadership review. - Collaborate closely with AP, GL, and Finance teams to ensure accuracy and timely processing of transactional data. - Liaise with vendors, auditors, and business partners to support integrations, controls, and audit essentials. - Work with other IT application teams to ensure efficient cross-module and cross-platform data flow.
