IT Business Analyst - Functional - Cowden

- Act as a vital link between the Finance organization, IT teams, and external partners - Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, and Accounts Payable teams to document workflows, identify challenges, and propose system enhancements - Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications for Oracle Fusion modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, and Fixed Assets - Participate in comprehensive testing phases, including system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing - Monitor and assess ongoing system performance, data integrity, and compliance within financial applications - Lead discovery sessions, requirement workshops, and functional design discussions with stakeholders and vendors - Support configuration modifications, testing, and deployment of new functionalities or integrations within Oracle Fusion Cloud and related systems - Work with developers and solution architects to validate designs, troubleshoot issues, and conduct root cause analysis for recurring system errors - Assist with the month-end and year-end financial closing processes to ensure alignment with accounting principles and timelines - Develop and maintain system documentation, functional workflows, and user training materials - Provide end-user training and assistance to foster adherence to standardized business processes - Uphold IT governance, data standards, and security policies across Finance applications - Prepare system health reports, issue summaries, and executive updates for leadership review - Coordinate with Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Finance teams to guarantee transactional data accuracy and timely processing - Collaborate with vendors, auditors, and business partners to support integrations, controls, and audit needs - Work closely with other IT application teams to ensure seamless cross-module and cross-platform data flow
