Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 11 years of experience in healthcare operations and clinical workflows
- Proven track record in supporting large-scale Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementations, migrations, or optimizations
- Ability to effectively translate clinical requirements into technical specifications
- Extensive, hands-on experience with Cerner Command Language (CCL)
- Solid understanding of Cerner Millennium architecture and Oracle databases
- Proficient in SQL, Linux, and enterprise data extraction methodologies
- Experience designing and implementing ETL processes
- Familiar with healthcare data integrations and reporting frameworks
- Background in REST / SOA development
- Knowledge of distributed systems, networking, and performance tuning
- Experience writing, executing, and optimizing CCL scripts in production settings
- Expertise in data extraction, system integration, and code development
- Knowledgeable in one or more programming languages: Java, C, C++, Python, Perl, OCI
- Hands-on familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Preferred experience with Cerner Millennium environments and previous roles as a senior consultant or technical lead
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, analyze, and articulate clinical workflows across various healthcare settings including inpatient and outpatient
- Convert clinical and operational needs into detailed technical specifications for data extraction and reporting
- Design, create, test, optimize, and sustain Cerner Command Language (CCL) scripts in Cerner Millennium environments
- Execute complex data extraction tasks, perform validation, and reconciliation from Oracle schemas in Cerner Millennium
- Assist with enterprise-level data migrations, reporting, and retiring legacy systems
- Develop and maintain structured data feeds, flat file extracts, and ETL processes
- Diagnose and resolve performance issues related to CCL and data integration challenges
- Act as a bridge between clinical stakeholders and technical teams to ensure accurate implementation of clinical objectives
- Clearly communicate data limitations and technical constraints to non-technical stakeholders
- Execute and fine-tune CCL scripts, manage batch jobs, and support both production and non-production environments in compliance with HHSC standards
