Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3-5 years of relevant software development experience.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, specifically Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.
- Experience in developing REST APIs and integrating with enterprise platforms.
- Hands-on scripting experience, particularly with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience in deploying and managing Linux systems.
- Familiarity with SIEM platforms such as Splunk or Sentinel.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure coding standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of advanced software development experience.
- Demonstrated experience in building security automation and integration platforms.
- Familiarity with penetration testing tools and Kali Linux environments.
- Practical experience in developing security data pipelines and SIEM integrations.
- Ability to design scalable security tool architectures.
- Preference for candidates with experience in regulated or government environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop secure software components, APIs, and microservices to enhance penetration testing workflows and automate security processes.
- Create custom integrations among penetration testing platforms, vulnerability scanners, and enterprise SIEM systems.
- Build data ingestion pipelines that normalize and relay security telemetry into SIEM platforms like Splunk.
- Produce automation scripts for security testing, evidence collection, and reporting tasks.
- Establish and manage a Kali Linux-based penetration testing infrastructure, including virtualized and cloud environments.
- Configure and maintain penetration testing toolchains and supportive services.
- Support red team operations through automation and custom tool development.
- Develop APIs to integrate security tools with enterprise SIEM platforms and enhance log parsing and normalization for better detection.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity operations teams to align development with detection and monitoring necessities.
- Ensure compliance of developed solutions with relevant security standards and participate in architectural reviews and risk assessments.
- Craft technical documentation, configuration guides, and operational runbooks.
