Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 8 years experience in eliciting requirements from customer interviews and generating well-crafted system requirements
- At least 8 years experience with various software development life cycles (SDLCs)
- Minimum of 8 years exposure to business process re-engineering and enhancing software process flows
- A minimum of 8 years experience crafting user stories and use cases that adhere to business analysis best practices
- At least 8 years experience in designing mockups and/or wireframes that meet UX best practices
- A minimum of 5 years demonstrated effective communication and facilitation skills
- At least 5 years strong writing and organizational abilities
- Preferred: 3 years documented experience using the issue tracking software Atlassian Jira
- Preferred: 3 years documented experience with the requirements management tool Modern Requirements
- Preferred: 2 years experience working with TEA or another state/local education agency
- Preferred: 1 year of experience related to state funding programs or virtual/hybrid education
Responsibilities
- Engage in advanced, senior-level business analysis tasks as the main liaison between the program/customer community and the software development team
- Participate in the complete software development life cycle, contributing to requirement management and ensuring compliance throughout implementation
- Gather requirements through techniques including joint application development (JAD), workshops, interviews, document analysis, surveys, use cases, and competitive product analysis
- Analyze user needs, business processes, and system capabilities to enhance or automate existing systems
- Convert information gathered from sessions into precise business and functional requirements, use cases, user stories, and specification documents
- Create visual representations of information such as process flows, context diagrams, UML diagrams, wireframes, and mockups
- Manage workflows independently, ensuring deadlines are met while adhering to change control processes and maintaining overall requirement traceability
- Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) and track requirement status to validate that deliverables meet defined requirements
