Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with over 2 years of experience in product development engineering, or
- A Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or
- A PhD in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering
- Candidates must be U.S. Citizens
- Strong qualifications will include:
- Experience with Gas Turbines
- Background in developing safety-critical software
- Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB Simulink, or similar languages
- Experience in developing logic for closed-loop systems
- Embedded software design experience
- Knowledge of model-based system engineering
Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Control Engineer at Rolls-Royce, you will engage in the following activities:
- Collaborate with various teams and clients to create safety-critical software using model-based and code-centric design approaches
- Partner with a cross-functional team to uphold the highest standards of technical capability, quality, professionalism, and teamwork
- Develop high-integrity control systems tailored for gas turbine engine applications
- Prepare and evaluate engineering work products for internal and external stakeholder reviews
- Act as a liaison with certification airworthiness authorities to convey methods, demonstrate compliance with objectives, and resolve audit findings
- Tackle complex issues by applying expertise and acquired knowledge
- Clearly articulate intricate technical concepts and information in a concise and logical manner
