Requirements
Must:
- We require a bachelors degree in engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a masters degree in engineering with at least 3 years of experience, or a PhD in engineering.
- We require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
- We value experience building trusted customer relationships through technical expertise and collaborative problem-solving.
- We prefer experience working with military end users and addressing technical issues that support mission readiness.
- We look for a strong aerospace background with deep knowledge of gas turbine engine components, performance, and control systems.
- We prefer familiarity with FAA Airframe & Powerplant certification, or equivalent mechanical experience in engine component repair and replacement.
- We value knowledge of safety and reliability methods such as Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis to help prioritize component and system concerns.
- We prefer understanding of FAA and/or military airworthiness requirements, including support for Service Bulletins and Technical Variances.
- We look for confidence presenting technical updates and briefings to OEMs, military customers, operators, and senior leaders.
- We value experience guiding change initiatives from start to finish through a Product Change Board or similar governance process.
Responsibilities
- We respond to customer questions about engines in the field and coordinate with the broader engineering organization to deliver timely answers.
- We partner with airframers to resolve production issues and support technical problem-solving.
- We work alongside airframers and military end users when fleet issues are identified, providing technical insight and practical solutions.
- We serve as a dependable technical contact for customer engineers and keep senior management informed on high-priority matters that need escalation.
- We create Investigation Requests to address field issues or production shortfalls that require engineering changes.
- We shepherd Investigation Requests through the change process through to resolution.
- We may travel domestically and internationally as needed to support the role.
