Requirements
Must:
- Over 10 years of relevant experience in a managerial role
- Proven expertise in developing and executing test cases
- Proficient in managing and analyzing large datasets
- Skilled in creating automation scripts and communicating insights
- Strong collaborative skills with data professionals, engineers, and business operations
- Experience with both traditional and big data streaming
- Ability to craft and maintain complex SQL queries, including type 2 triggers, joins, aggregations, and groupings
- Experienced in executing ETL jobs utilizing orchestration tools such as Airflow, SQL Agent, etc.
- Working knowledge of ETL testing and its associated processes
- Leadership qualities with a proactive mindset and strong can-do attitude
- Extensive background in automation testing specifically for ETL processes
- Detail-oriented approach to work
- Comfort in challenging existing development methods
- Experience in conducting and facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Familiar with Agile and Scrum methodologies
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with data professionals, engineers, and business teams to identify reporting requirements
- Write and execute comprehensive test strategies and cases, specifically for applications utilizing ETL components
- Utilize automation frameworks and develop scripts using languages like Python and Bash
- Manage orchestration of ETL jobs using tools such as Apache Airflow or Luigi
- Create sophisticated SQL queries for accurate source-to-target validation and data warehousing testing
- Interpret and analyze data models and entity-relationship diagrams
- Leverage traditional SQL databases (MySQL, Postgres, SQL Server) and cloud-native solutions like Snowflake or Redshift
- Utilize ETL tools like Informatica, Ab Initio, and Talend along with reporting tools such as Tableau and Power BI
- Implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes through Jenkins, GitLab, or Maven
- Use Agile test management tools such as HP ALM, Jira, or Rally for project tracking and management
