Requirements
Must:
- Over 10 years of professional experience in data engineering
- In-depth knowledge of AWS Data Services including Glue, EMR, Redshift, Athena, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, and CloudWatch
- Proficient in Python and PySpark for ETL, data transformation, and automation tasks
- Solid experience in SQL and various data modeling techniques (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema, dimensional models)
- Proven track record in developing scalable and high-performance data pipelines in cloud environments
- Understanding of data governance, quality frameworks, and security protocols
- Exceptional communication abilities and problem-solving capability
- Familiarity with collaborative tools and methodologies, specifically Agile principles
Responsibilities
- Design, create, and sustain ETL/ELT data pipelines leveraging AWS services
- Enhance and fine-tune large-scale data processing workflows utilizing Python and PySpark
- Work closely with business partners to convert data requirements into efficient technical solutions
- Manage data ingestion, cleansing, transformation, and integration from diverse sources into AWS data lakes and warehouses
- Apply and uphold data governance, security, and compliance standards
- Diagnose and enhance performance across pipelines and distributed data infrastructures
- Provide support to analytics, business intelligence, and data science teams ensuring high-quality data availability
- Conduct peer reviews, offer technical mentorship, and guide junior engineers
- Engage in Agile practices, contributing technical insights for sprint planning and backlog prioritization
