Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Over 9 years of experience in database development on major RDBMS platforms (Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase ASE, DB2)
- At least 6 years of experience with ETL tools (Ab Initio or Informatica)
- Over 5 years of experience with cloud platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Azure)
- Profound knowledge of data warehousing principles and ETL best practices
- Proficiency in data formats such as JSON and XML
- Experience in writing Unix shell scripts and Windows batch scripts
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and implementation methodologies
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and communication abilities (both written and verbal)
- Capability to create support materials for applications to enhance knowledge sharing
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom database and ETL applications using industry-standard technologies
- Participate in system upgrades, application support, and code reviews to uphold coding standards
- Collaborate with non-technical end users to interpret and document needs and formulate functional specifications
- Conduct system and unit testing, develop project-level test plans, and ensure quality assurance practices are met
- Create application support documentation for critical processes and facilitate issue resolution
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, track advancement, and provide status updates
- Ensure alignment with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory guidelines
- Offer off-hour support when necessary for project deliverables
