Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field - Advanced degree is preferred - Over 3 years of experience in information security, focusing on cloud security, ideally within GCP - In-depth understanding of GCP security services, including IAM, VPC, Cloud Armor, and Data Loss Prevention - Proficient in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or Go - Experience with container security technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) - Familiar with security tools and frameworks for vulnerability management, monitoring, and logging - Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving - Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities for effective teamwork - Relevant certifications such as Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CISSP, or other cloud security credentials are a plus

Responsibilities

- Integrate security practices into the CI/CD pipeline, making security a fundamental part of the software development lifecycle - Perform regular security evaluations, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing on GCP resources to uncover and address security risks - Create and uphold secure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager) to automate the setup and configuration of GCP resources securely - Deploy security monitoring and logging solutions, using tools like Google Cloud Security Command Center and Stackdriver to identify and react to threats - Collaborate with incident response teams to analyze and resolve security incidents within GCP environments - Oversee and enforce identity and access management (IAM) policies to ensure minimum necessary access across GCP services - Assist in maintaining compliance with relevant security standards and frameworks (e.g., CIS, NIST) within the GCP context - Offer training and support to development and operations teams on security best practices and secure coding techniques
