Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science preferred; associate degree required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with C/C++ in embedded systems, preferably in avionics or automotive
- At least 3 years of experience in hardware integration, including device drivers
- Proficiency in interpreting digital and analog electronics schematics to guide software development
- Eligibility to obtain a Secret level security clearance
- Knowledge of Linux kernel development and build systems (e.g., Yocto, Buildroot) is a plus
- Familiarity with BSP development for SH2A, ARM, PowerPC, or x86 architecture processors is desirable
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of FPGAs/CPLDs and VHDL/Verilog is an advantage
- Understanding of Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and IPC, especially ARINC-653 RTOS, is beneficial
- Familiarity with aircraft avionics, including MIL-STD-1553; FACE experience is a plus
- Experience with DO178B/C is strongly preferred; knowledge of AS9100C/AS9115 and data modeling is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Design and develop real-time embedded applications that adhere to stringent timing requirements
- Create BSP software for proprietary (8/16/32-bit bare metal) and VME/VPX embedded systems
- Develop device driver software for hardware peripherals, including register-level drivers and modifications to existing OS drivers for custom FPGA/CPLD peripherals
- Engage in all phases of software development from requirements gathering and design through coding, implementation, testing, and qualification
- Generate and uphold the creation of software documentation such as SRS, SDD, STD, etc.
- Support design review presentations for both internal teams and external customers
- Participate in testing and qualification processes both in the field and with external validators
- Contribute to enhancing development procedures and implementing new technologies
