Requirements
Must:
- Over 8 years of experience in data modeling for databases such as DB2, AWS Redshift, Dynamo DB, Postgres, SQL Server, and PEGA Applications
- Minimum of 6 years of experience with data modeling software
- Proficient in AWS and other cloud platforms
- Strong SQL and data profiling capabilities across various relational databases
- Experience in designing data lakes for both structured and unstructured data
- Knowledge of database optimization techniques
- Expertise in relational data, dimensional data, unstructured data, and master data
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external teams
- Self-driven and able to operate independently with minimal oversight
Responsibilities
- Design and implement contemporary data modeling solutions utilizing relational, dimensional, snowflake, star schemas, and data lake models
- Collaborate with Application Development teams to create data strategies, data flows, and conceptual models
- Optimize and refine data models to support various data initiative projects throughout the implementation cycle
- Conduct reverse engineering of physical data models and examine discrepancies across source systems
- Establish best practices for standardized naming conventions and coding techniques for consistency
- Assess system integration obstacles and propose suitable solutions
- Partner with IT teams to resolve performance needs, project constraints, and interface concerns
- Review updates to existing software to enhance efficiency and performance
