Requirements
Must:
- 4 to 7 years of experience as a native Android developer
- Proven track record of working on two or more Android applications
- Expertise in debugging, including identifying memory leaks and performance issues using tools such as ADB and Proguard
- Strong skills in object-oriented programming and multi-threading
- Proficiency in Kotlin, Android SDK, and its surrounding ecosystem
- Understanding of Material Design principles and mobile UX best practices
- Experience with popular Android libraries like Retrofit, OkHttp, Glide, Picasso, RxJava, Gson, and Arch-components
- Knowledge of various programming paradigms, particularly Functional and Reactive programming
- Ability to integrate and work with REST APIs, ensuring they adhere to RESTful principles
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and principles of Continuous Integration
- Grasp of advanced Android topics, including Custom Views, Jet Compose, Accessibility Services, and background processing APIs
- Knowledge of architectural patterns, particularly MVVM, and their testability
- Experience with apps published on the Google Play Store is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality native Android applications
- Collaborate with designers and other developers to define app features and create seamless user experiences
- Troubleshoot issues and optimize performance by identifying memory leaks and bottlenecks
- Implement robust code using best practices in object-oriented programming
- Utilize Android SDK and relevant libraries to enhance app functionality
- Follow Material Design guidelines to ensure visually appealing and user-friendly applications
- Integrate REST APIs to connect the applications to backend services
- Engage in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
- Stay updated with the latest Android technologies and trends to continually improve our applications
- Participate in Agile development practices, contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives.
