Requirements
Must:
- Active Secret clearance
- Practical experience managing GitLab in a corporate setting
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Over 3 years of experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Strong skills in Linux administration
- Proficient in Bash/Shell and Python scripting
- Familiarity with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies
- Experience using Docker and Kubernetes
- Excellent communication abilities
Responsibilities
- Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of the GitLab platform
- Design and sustain scalable, highly available GitLab architectures
- Implement monitoring systems, alerts, and health metrics
- Develop and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines with security and compliance in mind
- Automate build, test, deployment, and platform procedures
- Standardize workflows to enhance the developer experience
- Manage infrastructure using Terraform and apply Infrastructure as Code principles
- Oversee containerized workloads utilizing Docker and Kubernetes (EKS or similar)
- Administer Linux systems that support the platform
- Collaborate with application teams to promote GitLab adoption and best practices
- Offer support and guidance on GitLab features, integrations, and upgrades
- Assist with Jira and Confluence as part of the software development lifecycle ecosystem
- Ensure adherence to federal security standards (e.g., NIST 800-53)
- Integrate security scanning and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines
Description
We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to oversee and enhance the GitLab CI/CD platform within a critical federal setting. This position emphasizes reliability, automation, and secure platform engineering, ensuring that GitLab operates efficiently and effectively at scale. You will take charge of the GitLab platform, create resilient CI/CD pipelines, and assist teams in delivering software securely and proficiently.
