Requirements

Must:
- B.S in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. - Strong proficiency in Python and SQL (specifically Spark/Databricks SQL) for complex data analysis, KPI definition, and validation. - Working knowledge of C++ for reviewing other developers code and conducting deep-level debugging/root-cause analysis. - Direct, hands-on experience with automotive ECUs, diagnostic protocols (UDS, CAN, Ethernet), and debugging tools for data extraction. - Familiarity with large-scale, cloud-based vehicle data and log formats, particularly with data warehousing platforms like Databricks. - Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing, including spoofing vehicle signals and developing automated test cases. - Proficient in GIT and software repository management tools. - Experience creating dashboards and reporting metrics using visualization tools such as Hex or Databricks. - Understanding of automotive hardware/software development concepts, including CI/CD software development models. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, proactively collaborating across Middleware, Data Analytics, and other interdisciplinary teams. - Strong command of automotive electrical systems and communication protocols (CAN, Flexray, Ethernet) along with relevant debugging tools. - Experience debugging complex systems involving multiple ECUs interfacing with various vehicle subsystems. - Solid understanding of vehicle safety concepts and testing-related protocols. - Willingness to travel domestically/internationally to support vehicle-level integration and testing activities. - Clean driving record with professional experience operating prototype test vehicles on test tracks.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software components across different vehicle platforms. - Spearhead the development and application of in-vehicle and external diagnostic tools. - Identify and document cross-functional gaps and dependencies, proactively pursuing innovative solutions to integration issues and ensuring vehicle functionality. - Conduct in-depth analysis of vehicle log data and source code as necessary to troubleshoot system-level issues, working alongside domain experts for quick resolution. - Assist in the preliminary functional verification of ADAS-related software releases on various test vehicle platforms before transitioning responsibilities to development and validation teams. - Develop prototype tools and solutions to facilitate rapid development and drive efficiency, such as Python scripts for parsing vehicle data. - Review vehicle data and correlate findings with established requirements. - Analyze large datasets from vehicle logs using platforms like Databricks and Hex to correlate vehicle performance with requirements and create insightful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for system health and fault reporting. - Lead initiatives to enhance ADAS system health monitoring, collaborating with systems teams to define factory/service-facing requirements, configure data triggers, and design dashboards to report faults. - Accelerate the usage of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) for early integration testing, significantly reducing vehicle regressions while managing the testing environment and ensuring transparent, actionable reporting of test results. - Identify gaps and work towards bridging them through engineering solutions or process implementation. - Incorporate automation and leverage AI technologies to enhance efficiency and accelerate development.
