Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, or a related field
- Over 8 years of pertinent industry experience (or equivalent)
- Profound knowledge of the graphics pipeline, 3D mathematics (linear algebra, matrices, quaternions), and GPU architecture
- Proven capability in writing raw GLSL or WGSL shaders
- Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript and React
- Mastery of browser APIs, including WebGL/WebGPU, WebWorkers, and OffscreenCanvas
- Extensive experience with web-based 3D engines (e.g., Three.js, Babylon.js) with the ability to understand and patch its internals
- Track record of optimizing high-throughput data applications
- Experience using WASM (WebAssembly) with C++ or Rust for accelerating compute-heavy tasks
Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural development of our web-based 3D visualization platform, ensuring smooth performance at 60 FPS
- Design and implement efficient data pipelines utilizing WebWorkers, WebAssembly, and related technologies for real-time rendering of high-volume datasets
- Write and optimize custom GLSL/WGSL shaders to introduce new renderable types and visual effects
- Implement advanced visualization techniques including Birds-Eye-View fused camera projections and volumetric rendering
- Provide technical leadership and mentor fellow engineers, promoting best practices in graphics programming
- Use modern profiling tools to oversee rendering performance and memory efficiency
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Autonomy Engineers to outline requirements for innovative data visualization tools
