Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 5 years in software engineering or a role in ML/Dev/Data Ops.
- Over 5 years of experience in authoring, scaling, and managing production infrastructure.
- More than 5 years of proficiency with Kubernetes, AWS CI/CD tools, AWS networking stack, S3, Lambda, EKS, ECS, RDS, System Manager, Secrets Manager, CloudTrail and similar technologies.
- At least 5 years of experience in Infrastructure as Code and configuration management, including Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and AWS CDK.
- 5+ years utilizing monitoring applications in the cloud such as Datadog, AWS CloudWatch, or Prometheus.
- 5+ years troubleshooting production systems and conducting root cause analysis on incidents.
- 3+ years of practical experience with Python, Go, or Java and using GitLab for automation.
- Over 2 years applying CI/CD and/or GitOps patterns with tools like GitLab, Jenkins, or Allure.
- At least 2 years working with microservice-oriented architectures like Kubernetes (EKS), AWS ECS, or Docker Swarm.
- More than 2 years knowledge of Agile Development of Accessible Software Tools.
- Understanding of Linux internals, networking, and distributed computing is a plus.
- Certification in AWS or Cloud Native is a bonus.

Responsibilities
- Spearhead the design, testing, and deployment of essential infrastructure services for Rivians ADAS team, whether in the cloud or on-premises.
- Establish resilient multi-region environments for data operations and applications.
- Manage the CI/CD pipeline for applications and data initiatives.
- Develop and uphold an on-call strategy and engage in on-call rotations.
- Enhance developers experiences through the implementation of automated workflows.
- Build and refine highly dependable, scalable, and distributed infrastructure using microservice architecture.
- Partner with the security and privacy teams to conduct audits and resolve any issues.
- Collaborate with various ADAS teams for development and integration efforts.
- Optimize costs in AWS spanning multiple accounts and services.
