Staff Software Engineer, Data & Autonomy

- Architect and create scalable, high-throughput data pipelines for processing vehicle telemetry, sensor logs, and simulation outputs utilizing Spark, Databricks, and AWS services. - Design and enhance distributed data architecture for batch, streaming, and hybrid processing frameworks to facilitate real-time and offline autonomy use cases. - Independently oversee the design, development, and delivery of intricate data engineering projects, from requirements gathering to implementation. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Perception, Simulation, QA, and Safety, to provide reliable and efficient data infrastructure that aligns with autonomy objectives. - Apply engineering best practices for CI/CD, monitoring, testing, and observability throughout all data workflows. - Mentor team members, offering technical guidance and fostering expertise in system design, software development, and distributed computing. - Establish frameworks for privacy-conscious data collection, geospatial enhancement, and high-volume data ingestion and transformation. - Assess and implement new technologies and frameworks to enhance pipeline performance, reduce costs, and improve reliability. - Take initiative in addressing ambiguous challenges, driving them to resolution with practical, scalable solutions. - Stay updated with the evolving data engineering landscape and integrate the latest tools and methodologies as needed.
