Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or masters degree in a quantitative, STEM, or business-related discipline
- 3-5 years of experience in technical program management or relevant project management roles in technical settings, ideally in data science or software development
- Experience using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Understanding of AI and machine learning methodologies for addressing business and engineering challenges
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on product development
- Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities for effective team coordination and cross-functional leadership
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods
Responsibilities
- Oversee program roadmaps and ensure the smooth execution of complex dependencies between data science and AI initiatives across multiple teams
- Clearly articulate business requirements, timelines, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for all projects, serving as the main liaison for stakeholders to balance scope adjustments with available resources
- Identify, monitor, and address risks and challenges that may hinder project progress, escalating significant obstacles to leadership
- Facilitate the planning and prioritization process for new projects, ensuring proper alignment with the teams strategic roadmap before initiating work
- Recognize and implement enhancements to existing project management processes, establishing standardized practices for project initiation, tracking, and delivery
- Create comprehensive reports on progress for various stakeholders, including leadership, using weekly updates, monthly newsletters, and annual presentations
- Liaise with upstream data partners and manage team expenditures related to software and cloud services, developing cost-efficient practices in platforms such as Databricks and AWS
