Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related area - Strong command of Python and SQL (especially Spark/Databricks SQL) for advanced data analysis and KPI validation - Familiarity with C++ for code reviews and in-depth debugging/root-cause assessment - Practical experience with automotive ECUs and diagnostic protocols (UDS, CAN, Ethernet) - Experience handling large-scale, cloud-based vehicle data, with knowledge of logging formats and data warehousing solutions (e.g., Databricks) - Background in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) or bench testing, including simulating vehicle signals (e.g., CAN, BBEth) - Proficient in GIT and software repository management - Experience in creating dashboards and metrics using visualization tools like Hex or Databricks - Understanding of automotive hardware and software development principles, including CI/CD models - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced development environment and collaborate across various teams (e.g., Embedded, Data Analytics) - Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems and communication protocols (CAN, Flexray, Ethernet) and relevant diagnostic tools - Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex systems involving multiple ECUs and interactions with different vehicle subsystems - Comprehensive understanding of vehicle safety principles and testing-related safety protocols - Willingness to travel domestically/internationally for vehicle integration and testing activities - Clean driving record with professional experience operating prototype test vehicles on test tracks.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software on diverse vehicle platforms - Lead the development and application of in-vehicle and off-vehicle diagnostic tools - Identify, document, and communicate cross-functional gaps and dependencies; proactively devise innovative solutions to tackle integration challenges and ensure vehicle functionality - Conduct in-depth analyses of vehicle log data and source code to determine root causes of system-level issues, fostering rapid resolution in tandem with domain experts - Support early functional verification of ADAS software releases across various test vehicle platforms before handing them off to development and validation teams - Create prototypes and solutions to enhance rapid development and improve efficiency (e.g., Python scripts for parsing vehicle data) - Review vehicle data and align it with established requirements - Analyze extensive datasets from vehicle logs using platforms like Databricks and Hex to connect vehicle performance with requirements and generate insightful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for DTC reporting - Enhance Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing for early integration, significantly reducing vehicle regressions by collaborating with the HIL team to expand testing capabilities and implementing new test cases - Drive continuous enhancement in DTC reliability by identifying false triggers due to timing/boot-up issues and advocating for clear documentation on DTC triggers, faults, and impacts - Manage diagnostic preparedness for vehicle platforms, including regression testing on vehicle and HIL to confirm appropriate implementation of DTCs/RIDs/DIDs for debugging, build readiness, factory processes, and service - Identify gaps and work towards bridging them with engineering solutions or process implementations, incorporating automation and AI for efficiency improvement and expedited development.
