Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least one year of professional experience in a reliability engineering role is preferred.
- Strong technical foundation with a keen interest in reliability engineering.
- Experience in facilitating Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and leading cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in a programming language, ideally Python.
- Familiarity with statistical reliability software such as JMP or ReliaSoft suite.
- A commitment to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and engaging team environment.
Must have domain knowledge:
- Understanding of failure physics related to mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of degradation mechanisms in mechanical and structural components.
- Insights into materials mechanics, fracture mechanics, and mechanical design principles.
- Awareness of Highly Accelerated Testing methodologies and associated failure mechanisms.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Design-for-Reliability Engineer with a focus on mechanical systems, contributing to the reliability design of Rivians Interior products from concept through production.
- Collaborate with a skilled team of design and validation engineers, generating innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
- Act as the reliability development expert for the Interior design team.
