Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a comparable field. - At least 8 years of experience in power electronics design and systems engineering, ideally within the automotive or EV sector. - A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or managerial position. - Minimum of 3 years experience in formulating requirements and utilizing requirement management tools. - Proven track record in developing requirements through simulations and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methodologies. - Proficient in power electronic design and analysis, including semiconductor selection, thermal management, magnetics, and control algorithms. - Familiar with the systems design architecture and electronic hardware design of DC-AC Inverters, DC-DC Converters, and AC-DC power electronic applications. - Strong grasp of on-board charging standards (e.g., J1772, CCS) and vehicle communication protocols (e.g., CAN). - Knowledgeable about vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technologies and related standards and use cases. - Good understanding of industry guidelines (e.g., ISO, IEC) and specific regulatory requirements pertaining to electric vehicle power electronic components. - In-depth knowledge of failure modes and failure effects of electronic hardware designs, including experience with DFMEA processes. - Familiarity with functional safety standards for safety-critical automotive systems (ISO 26262). - Understanding of hardware and software validation testing across various levels (SIL, HIL, Unit and Vehicle). - Experience in leading root cause analysis using techniques like fault tree analysis and fishbone diagrams. - Committed to continuous improvement in systems engineering processes, methodologies, and tools. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced development setting. - Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

- Oversee and lead a team of systems engineers, offering technical direction, nurturing career growth, and providing performance evaluations. - Convert high-level vehicle specifications into detailed, actionable system and component-level descriptions. - Utilize simulation software (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, Ansys, PLECS) for design analysis, system behavior modeling, and robust requirement development. - Design and oversee the system architecture for power electronics, ensuring vehicle integration, control strategies, and safety are prioritized. - Establish and manage system-level requirements for new electric vehicle power electronics products, ensuring they align with vehicle performance, safety, and regulatory criteria. - Maintain traceability between hardware, software, and system technical requirements, along with relevant test cases within the requirements management tool. - Advocate for and implement best practices in systems engineering, including requirements management, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and risk management strategies. - Troubleshoot systems (hardware/software) failures and formulate corrective action plans both in the short and long term. - Serve as the main technical liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including vehicle integration teams and clients. - Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to guarantee timely and cost-effective project completion. - Report status updates on Systems Engineering deliverables to the Leadership team. - Participate actively in roadmap discussions for prospective products.
